Abelmoschus esculentus is a vegetable with excellent nutritional values. Also known as Okra or Okra, it has no fat and is low in calories, contains folic acid and is an excellent source of vitamin C, vitamin A and other B vitamins, and mineral salts such as magnesium, potassium and calcium. The clemson spineless variety is self-supporting and can reach a height of 1.5 m. In the leaf axils it produces yellowish white flowers similar to those of Hibiscus. The fruits are intense green cone-shaped capsules that make up the vegetable and must be harvested immature before they ripen; we recommend harvesting them when they reach the size of a little finger approximately 50 days after sowing.
Pedoclimatic needs
It requires a temperature of at least 20 °C to vegetate and bear fruit and is sensitive to sudden changes in temperature. Leave a distance of 40 cm between the plants, which will grow particularly tall. Water regularly, waiting for the soil to dry to avoid water stagnation.Sowing
