Abies alba - white fir (Square vase 9x9x20 cm)

Monoecious dicline evergreen tree, slender and long-lived with conical-pyramidal foliage belonging to the pinales order. At maturity it can reach 40-50 meters in height. It has a straight and cylindrical trunk with resin pockets, persistent leaves made up of needles arranged in a spiral on the twigs. The male cones are yellow with a large quantity of pollen, the female cones are red-violet with numerous seeds.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers fresh and deep siliceous soils. It resists wind well. It requires a humid mountain climate. Rustic species, it can withstand temperatures reaching -25°c.
