Abies alba - common fir (15 seeds)

Monoecious Dicline, slender and long-lived evergreen tree belonging to the Pinales order. At maturity it reaches 40-50 meters in height. It has a straight and cylindrical trunk with resin pockets, persistent leaves made up of needles arranged in a spiral on the twigs. The male cones are yellow in color with a large quantity of pollen, the female cones are violet red in color with numerous seeds.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers fresh, deep siliceous soils and resists wind well. Requires a humid mountain climate. Rustic species, it can withstand temperatures reaching -25°C.
