Acanthus mollis - acanthus (7-50 seeds)

Magnificent herbaceous perennial up to 80-100 cm tall, widespread in all Mediterranean undergrowth. Large, dark green leaves with incised and jagged edges. White flowers with purple calyx, on inflorescences up to 120-150 cm tall.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers shaded or partial shade positions but is also suitable for growing in the sun. It loves fresh soil rich in organic substance. It dries in summer and is reborn at the beginning of autumn. Thanks to this characteristic it is ideal for decorating gardens without water. Rustic plant that tolerates frosts down to -18°/-20° C. Ideal for creating informal borders or for covering slopes or flowerbeds.
