Genus of about 150 species of deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs of Europe, Africa and northern Asia and North and Central America. Acer palmatum cv ''orange dream” is an upright deciduous shrub that reaches a height of 2-3 m. This cultivar has the particularity of having new leaves of an attractive yellow-orange color with a reddish margin in spring. During autumn the leaves then take on pleasant yellow shades.
