Albizia julibrissin is a deciduous tree 5-12 meters tall with a wide, spreading foliage reminiscent of that of African acacias. The bark is light gray with greenish shades, bipinnate leaves 20 to 45 cm long and 12 to 25 cm wide. In summer, this variety produces terminal inflorescences of intensely pink scented spherical floral heads.
