    Altezza della pianta: 3-8pm cm
Genus of 300 species of perennial evergreens with small to large rosettes of leaves. Some are shrub-like, a few arborescent. They can be found at various altitudes in the Cape Verde Islands, in tropical and southern Africa, in Madagascar and in the Arabian Peninsula. Aloe mitriformis is a succulent characterized by small and compact rosettes which over the years can form a stem over 1 m in height, although this often prostrates due to loss. The plants grow from the base of the stem, forming small groups. The triangular or almost oval leaves, light green in colour, have white, non-prickly denticulate margins. The teeth may also be present on the lower and upper sides of the leaves. At the end of summer the rosettes form numerous apical inflorescences, very decorative, 20-40 cm high with red-orange tubular flowers.

    Pedoclimatic needs

It requires sandy and well-drained soil. It should be grown in full sun or partial shade. It adapts to being grown both in pots, in the ground or in flowerbeds. This species is not rustic and cannot tolerate temperatures below 3°/5°C. During the dry season it tolerates drought well, but benefits from regular irrigation.
