Bauhinia purpurea - orchid tree (Square vase 9x9x20 cm)

Genus of plants from the Fabaceae family which includes around 300 species of small deciduous trees and shrubs widespread in all tropical areas. Bauhinia purpurea is a medium-small sized deciduous plant that can normally reach a height of 5-7 meters. The foliage has a rounded shape with thorny branches and bilobed leaves that resemble the imprint of a cattle hoof. It is characterized by a wonderful cluster flowering with pinkish purple flowers very similar to those of the orchid. Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to all types of soil, preferring sandy ones, without water stagnation and with a good organic substance content. It prefers an exposure in full sun or partial shade.
