Botanical Information

Botanical name of the species. The 4-6 cm long leaves have a serrated edge and are light gray on the lower side and bright green on the upper side. In autumn before fall, the leaves take on beautiful golden yellow colours. The pendula birch, in addition to being a splendid tree, also has multiple medicinal properties.

Pedoclimatic needs

It has no particular needs regarding the soil, it adapts to poor or humus-rich soils, it tolerates water stagnation and low temperatures down to -20°c well. It prefers sunny positions and cool climates; suffers where summer temperatures are too high.
