Betula pendula - white birch (Square vase 9x9x20 cm)

Genus of around 60 species of deciduous trees and shrubs originating from different habitats, woods, peat bogs, mountains and moors throughout the northern hemisphere. Betula pendula is a splendid tree that can reach 30 m in height. Botanical Information

Botanical name of the species. The 4-6 cm long leaves have a serrated edge and are light gray on the lower side and bright green on the upper side. In autumn before fall, the leaves take on beautiful golden yellow colours. The pendula birch, in addition to being a splendid tree, also has multiple medicinal properties.

Pedoclimatic needs

It has no particular needs regarding the soil, it adapts to poor or humus-rich soils, it tolerates water stagnation and low temperatures down to -20°c well. It prefers sunny positions and cool climates; suffers where summer temperatures are too high.
