Pedoclimatic requirements
Grow in well-drained soil that is not too rich. They like sunny and ventilated exposures. They can be grown in the ground in Mediterranean gardens where temperatures do not fall below zero. In colder climates they can be grown in pots and placed outdoors during the spring and summer and then sheltered in a greenhouse or veranda during the autumn and winter.
