    Genus of 20 species of annuals, herbaceous perennials and evergreen or deciduous shrubs, from Europe and North America, where they live in habitats ranging from meadows to scrubland, woods, forest edges and cliffs. Coronilla emerus is a deciduous shrub, upright, bushy, with green branches and small pinnate leaves, up to 6 cm long. This broom has a beautiful flowering in early spring with numerous inflorescences composed of 2-3 pale yellow flowers, 2 cm long. The fruits are thin segmented pods, up to 10 cm long. It can reach 2-3 m in height.

    Pedoclimatic needs

    Grow in light, well-drained soil, in full sun, sheltered from strong winds. Moderately rustic species, it tolerates cold and frosts down to -7°/-9°c.

    Sowing

    From autumn to early spring. Soak the seeds for 24-48 hours. Dormant seed.
