Cucumis metuliferus - kiwano (1 pack)

Very fast growing annual climbing plant, characterized by the presence of long shoots and leaves with small thorns. The most curious feature of the plant, however, are its orange fruits, which are equipped with very decorative protuberances on the surface. The pulp consists of seeds covered with a greenish gelatinous layer with a sweet and sour taste.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to any type of soil, as long as it is well drained. It prefers exposure in bright places but away from direct sunlight. It is an averagely rustic plant, but it fears winter frosts and the young plants should only be planted in late spring.
