Lemongrass is an evergreen perennial herbaceous plant that forms large tufts and has long ribbon-like leaves of a bright light green colour, quite thick and drooping which are carried by rigid erect stems similar to small bamboos. Lemongrass is typically used in Vietnamese and Thai cuisine to give a particular flavor and enhance the taste of meat and fish, but it can also be used as an aromatic herb. In particular, it is used for the preparation of tea, herbal teas, soups and sauces. It has many beneficial properties, it is an excellent pain reliever, promotes relaxation, improves the digestive process and helps detoxify our body.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers loose soil that is well endowed with organic matter. Non-rustic tropical species that should be grown at temperatures no lower than 10°C.
