    Genus of over 500 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, present in all habitats with the exception of particularly arid ones, mostly in Australia, but also in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Eucalyptus cinerea is a medium-sized evergreen tree, it can reach 8-10 m. The trunk is straight and very sturdy, the bark is very light, cream-colored and the foliage is rounded.     Botanical name. Due to the beauty and particularity of the foliage, this species is cultivated for the collection of the fronds which are used by florists to create numerous decorations. The leaves are also very fragrant because they are rich in essential oils.

    Pedoclimatic needs

    It adapts to all types of soil, even stony and poor as long as it is well drained. It likes very bright exposure, preferably in full sun. Fairly rustic plant, it tolerates minimum temperatures of up to -12°/-14°c for short periods.
