    Genus of over 500 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, present in all habitats with the exception of particularly arid ones, mostly in Australia, but also in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Eucalypto citriodora is a slender and elegant evergreen tree up to 20-25 meters tall, characterized by a well-erect trunk and oval foliage. The leaves are lanceolate in adult specimens, thick, shiny, aromatic, silvery green in colour. The scent of the leaves is very reminiscent of that of citrus fruits, from which it takes its origin

    Botanical name of the species. The flowers have very protruding stamens gathered in bunches. Their color can vary from white to pink. The fruit is a woody cone-shaped capsule. The flowering of Eucalyptus citriodora occurs between July and August. It is a variety commonly used in beekeeping for the production of honey.

    Pedoclimatic needs

    It adapts to all types of soil, as long as it is well drained. Prefers exposure in full sun. Not very rustic plant, it tolerates minimum temperatures reaching 0°/-3°C for short periods.
