Eucalyptus populus - poplar-leaved eucalyptus (Square vase 9x9x20 cm)

Genus of over 500 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, present in all habitats with the exception of particularly arid ones, mostly in Australia, but also in the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Eucalyptus populus is a small tree up to 10-15 meters tall, characterized by a well erect trunk and smooth bark. The leaves are oval or elliptical, up to 4-6 cm long and silvery-grey in colour. The flowers appear in summer.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers full sun exposure and loose soil. Partially rustic plant, it tolerates minimum temperatures reaching -7°/-9°c for short periods. E. populus is a species commonly used for the production of cut fronds or as an ornamental plant.
