Euphorbia rigid - blue euphorbia (Square vase 7x7x10 cm)

Very diverse genus of about 2000 species of annuals, biennials, evergreen, semi-persistent or herbaceous perennials, suffrutics, deciduous or evergreen shrubs and trees, succulents, widely present in a variety of habitats in temperate, subtropical and tropical regions. Euphorbia rigid is a perennial herbaceous plant that forms large rounded tufts, up to 50 cm high and 1 m wide with fleshy, drooping stems. It has lanceolate glaucous leaves with a pointed margin, arranged in a spiral around the reddish green stem. Between the end of winter and the beginning of spring numerous small yellow flowers bloom at the top of the stems, gathered in clusters.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to any type of soil, even dry and poor, preferring well-drained ones. It likes exposure in full sun. It can also withstand long periods of drought. Rustic plant, it resists minimum temperatures reaching -8°/-10°C. This species is particularly suitable for cultivation in pots, flower beds or rock gardens. The spring flowering is splendid.
