Ficus carica - fruit fig (18 cm pot)

Genus of about 800 species of trees, shrubs, woody climbers, mostly evergreen that live in the forests of tropical and subtropical regions throughout the world. Ficus carica is a deciduous tree or large shrub with a spreading and rounded crown. The leaves are three or five-lobed, 10-24 cm long, heart-shaped at the base. The pear-shaped receptacles form single fruits, up to 10 cm long, green when young, then dark green, purple or dark brown when ripe. It can reach 8-10 m in height.

Grow in humus-rich, leafy, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
