Genus of at least 250 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, mostly native to Australia, and a few species from Indonesia, New Guinea and New Caledonia. Grevillea juniperina is a dense and compact evergreen shrub that can reach 2-3 meters in height. On the branches there are numerous dark green needle-like leaves similar to those of rosemary. In spring and until early summer it produces numerous inflorescences with coral red flowers.
Pedoclimatic needs
It adapts to any type of soil as long as it is well drained. It prefers full sun exposure and has good resistance to drought, wind and salt. Not a very rustic species, it can be grown in climates where minimum temperatures reach -4°/-6°C for short periods. Suitable for the creation of free hedges or topiaries which are also defensive thanks to the partially prickly leaves. It is also widely used for furnishing public and private greenery as a single plant or associated with other bushes.Botanical Information
