Hops are a perennial climbing plant with deciduous leaves. Its thin stems can reach up to 7-8 meters in height. It has palmate-lobed leaves with incised and serrated margins, with 3-5 lobes. It is a very resistant plant that can grow even in soils poor in nutrients. Its female flowers are used in the beer production process and make up the famous hops.
Pedoclimatic needs
It adapts to any type of soil, preferring fertile and well-drained ones. Prefers exposure to full sun and fresh, moist soil. Rustic species, it resists low temperatures down to -12°/-18°c. In cold climate areas the stems and leaves dry out, while the root remains vital. In the following spring, new stems and leaves form from the roots.Sowing
