Koelreuteria paniculata - golden rain tree (10 bare root plants)

Genus of 3 species of deciduous trees or shrubs, native to the woods present in the dry valleys of China, Korea and Taiwan. Koelreuteria paniculata is a medium-sized, deciduous tree. It has an erect trunk, often multiple, and dense foliage, with light green pinnate leaves which in autumn have beautiful shades of yellow, while the new shoots in spring have a bronze red colour. Between August and September it produces very showy pendulous inflorescences, in the shape of panicles made up of numerous yellow flowers. During the first autumn months the flowers are followed by brown fruits, similar to small lanterns, with a papery consistency. A fairly rapid growing tree, it can reach 12-14 m in height when mature.
