Succulent, ornamental perennial plant appreciated for its abundant and long summer flowering, its resistance to drought and because it is easy to grow both in pots and in the ground. When mature it forms dense and compact rounded bushes 70 cm wide and more than 2 meters high. The leaves are small elliptical grey-green with a silvery appearance, the very ornamental flowers are placed in the axils of the leaves, in the shape of lilac pink bells with an intense fruity scent, they are very welcome by bees and insects in general. Perfect in rocky or sandy gardens in areas with a hot-dry climate. It is called a "barometer shrub" because it is able to flower a few days before the rain.

    Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers exposure in full sun and away from strong winds. Resists temperatures up to 0° c. Adult, well-established specimens also tolerate frosts well as long as they are short. It tolerates arid and poor soil but to enjoy abundant blooms it is preferable to grow it in soft, deep soil, rich in organic substance and above all very well drained.
