Loropetalum chinense cv. "fire dance" - honeypetal (Vase 18 cm)

Genus of a species of evergreen shrubs that live in the woods of the Himalayas, in China and Japan. This variety of Loropetalo is a shrub or small evergreen tree up to 3-4 m tall, compact and bushy. The leaves are small, oval, alternate, burgundy in color. In late winter until early summer, numerous bunches of small red-purple flowers appear, faintly scented, with 4 narrow ligulate petals.

Pedoclimatic needs

Grow in fertile, moist but very well-drained soil, in partial shade. Rustic species tolerates cold and frosts down to -10°/-12°C.
