Monstera deliciosa - monstera (Square vase 9x9x20 cm)

Descriptions Genus of 40 species of evergreen climbers, often epiphytic, found in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America and the West Indies. Monstera deliciousa is a robust epiphytic climber with thick, sparsely branched stems. Adult plants have large, broadly ovate to cordate leaves, long-petiolate, pinnatifid, leathery, glossy, medium to deep green. Young leaves have shorter petioles, are smaller and entire. Usually, from spring to summer, it produces creamy white spathes, 20/30 cm long, sometimes followed by edible, aromatic, cream-colored fruits.

Pedoclimatic requirements

Grow in moist, moist but well-drained soil, in partial shade. Non-rustic species does not tolerate temperatures below 5°/6°C for short periods.
