Genus of about 50 species of evergreen shrubs widespread in Australia and New Zealand. Ozothamnus rosmarinifolius is an evergreen bush up to 1.5/2.5 m tall and erect. Small, linear, leathery, dark green leaves. In spring it produces numerous small pinkish-white flowers, gathered in apical flower heads.
Pedoclimatic needs
Grow in full sun in loose, not very rich soil. This species is resistant to drought, wind and salt. In case of particularly dry summers, help with emergency irrigation. Fairly rustic species, it resists not too long frosts down to -6°/-8°C. After flowering, containment pruning is recommended by shortening the branches to maintain their compact shape. Suitable for creating free hedges, borders or even as an isolated plant.Botanical Information
