Pumice is a granular substrate of volcanic origin with high porosity and therefore particularly light. Thanks to its structure, it has a notable water retention and a high insulating power, resulting in a precious material in floriculture. Added to the soil, it improves its permeability, porosity and drainage.
Its uses are numerous: preparation of growing and rooting substrates, soil conditioner for strong and heavy soils, mulching substrate, inert material for epiphytes or in hydroponic and soil-less crops or as a drainage material.
