Evergreen tree that can reach a height ranging from 30 m to 40 m. The trunk is straight and the bark is reddish-brown and generally smooth. The foliage is pyramidal and very branched, composed of bright green needle-like leaves with two bluish-white stripes on the lower surface. If crumpled, they give off a characteristic lemon aroma. It is a monoecious dicline species, therefore it has male and female flowers on the same plant; It has leather-coloured pendulous cones and winged seeds when ripe.
Pedoclimatic needs
It adapts to deep, well-drained soil types with neutral or sub-acid PH. It prefers exposure in full sun or partial shade. Rustic plant, it tolerates low temperatures down to -18°/-20°C.Botanical Information
