Sapindus saponaria - soap tree (Square pot 9x9x20 cm)

Evergreen tree of slender shape up to 15 m tall. Equal pinnate leaves of light green color. The flowers are small and white gathered in apical inflorescences. The orange fruits 2-3 cm contain a single seed inside, smooth and black as big as a marble. The pulp of the fruits is rich in saponins and is used as a totally biodegradable organic detergent both by hand and in the washing machine.

Pedoclimatic requirements
Not very rustic tropical plant that resists up to +2°/+5°C. It should be planted in a sunny position but also tolerates partial shade. It prefers well-drained and fertilized soils preferably not excessively calcareous.
