Shrub or small evergreen tree up to 4-6 m tall. Entire opposite leaves pubescent on the underside. Small white flowers, borne on one-year branches, solitary or gathered in small groups. This cultivar from India has very fragrant spherical fruits, yellow on the outside and with white, sweet and sour or sour pulp, with numerous small, white seeds.
Pedoclimatic needs
It prefers light soils, although it can also live on heavy ones, as long as there is no stagnation. The pH must be neutral (with alkaline pH it manifests ferric chlorosis). Guava is widely cultivated in tropical countries, both domestically and industrially. Non-rustic plant, it resists temperatures up to +2°/+4°c. In the Mediterranean basin, although there are favorable conditions for cultivation (citrus climate), it is only present sporadically.Sowing
