Genus of approximately 150 species of perennial, semi-evergreen or deciduous shrubs and climbers. They are found in a wide variety of habitats in Asia, Europe, North Africa and North America. The Park Yellow Rosa is considered an original Tea rose. It is an old cultivar introduced into Europe at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Lord Park. This variety is a very vigorous, fast-growing sarmentose climber up to 15 m tall. The compound leaves are dark green, made up of 5-7 leaflets. In May it produces numerous fragrant flowers which are large, double, light yellow in colour.
Pedoclimatic needs
It prefers sunny exposures but also adapts to partial shade. It can grow in all types of soil, even clayey or poor and stony, with summer aridity. This cultivar is completely rustic and resists cold and frost down to -15° /-18°C. It also tolerates drought well. Ideal for fences or to climb on walls, trees and pergolas.Botanical Information
