Medium-sized deciduous tree up to 15-20 m tall, with globose and rounded foliage. It has ovate leaves with serrated margins, light green on the upper side, silvery white on the lower side. The plants mature in spring produce numerous inflorescences composed of small white flowers. The fruits are dark red in color and edible.
Pedoclimatic needs
It adapts to any type of soil, preferring calcareous ones that are not too dry. It is a species that grows in the mountains and is therefore very rustic, withstanding temperatures reaching -18°/-20°C. It prefers sunny exposure.Botanical Information
