Deciduous shrub with an erect and compact habit, up to 2.5/3 m tall. It has ovate, opposite, dark green leaves with serrated edges. In spring this cultivar produces numerous intense red bell-shaped flowers gathered in axillary inflorescences.
Pedoclimatic needs
It should be grown in fresh, fertile and well-drained soil. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Partially rustic plant, it tolerates minimum temperatures reaching -8°/-12°C. Ideal for creating splashes of color in open spaces, for informal hedges or together with other shrubs with different flower colours.
