Altezza della pianta: 15-50cm

Shrub or small deciduous tree up to 3-4 m tall with a prostrate habit and expanded and disordered foliage. The light greyish brown trunk is cracked in adult plants, while the young branches have a smooth reddish brown bark. The leaves are scale-shaped and have an intense green colour. It blooms in spring, producing numerous small pink flowers that completely cover the plant, giving it a very decorative appearance.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers loose, inconsistent and sandy soils, but also adapts to heavy and humid ones. Very resistant to drought, wind and salt, it is widely used for both public and private furnishing of coastal environments.
