Altezza della pianta: 40-70cm

Genus of about 150 species of deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs of Europe, Africa and northern Asia and North and Central America. Acer buergerianum is a deciduous tree with a spreading habit, it can reach 10 m in height and 8 m in width. The leaves are very decorative: trilobed in shape with pointed lobes, they have a copper-red color in spring, they turn dark green in summer, and then acquire red, yellow and purple tones in autumn, before fall. The flowers are small and inconspicuous as in all maples and generate winged fruits (samare).

Pedoclimatic needs

Rustic tree resists cold and frost down to -14°/-16°C. Grow in full sun or partial shade for slow growth. It loves fresh, acidic and well-drained soil: it fears water stagnation as well as water shortages in summer. Also suitable for small spaces, it can also be grown in pots (it is widely used for bonsai).
