Acer saccharinum is a deciduous tree that can reach a height of 20-25 m. The leaves are palmate and dark green on the upper surface, while the lower surface is silvery white. In autumn the leaves take on colors ranging from red to orange to deep pink. In spring, numerous flowers appear before the leaves, ranging in color from yellow to green.
