Plant Description
Genus of about 150 species of deciduous or evergreen trees and shrubs of Europe, Africa and northern Asia and North and Central America. Acer saccharinum is a deciduous tree that can reach a height of 20-25 m. The leaves are palmate and dark green on the upper surface, while the lower surface is silvery white. In autumn the leaves take on colors ranging from red to orange to deep pink. In spring, numerous flowers appear before the leaves, ranging in color from yellow to green.

Maples are suitable for any type of garden depending on the species and size. It adapts to all types of soil, preferring fertile and well-drained soils. It can be grown in full sun or partial shade. A very rustic plant, it resists minimum temperatures down to -15°/-20°c
