Genus of about 150 species of deciduous trees and shrubs often found in poor soil, in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, America, Asia and Australia. Albizia julibrissin is a deciduous tree 5-12 meters tall with a wide, spreading foliage reminiscent of that of African acacias. The bark is light gray with greenish shades, bipinnate leaves 20 to 45 cm long and 12 to 25 cm wide. In summer, this variety produces terminal inflorescences of intensely pink scented spherical floral heads.
Pedoclimatic needs
Subtropical tree that also adapts very well to the temperate climate. Very rustic species that resists down to -20°C. It adapts to all types of soil, preferring sandy ones with a good organic substance content. Cultivate in sunny exposures and large spaces to allow the foliage to expand freely.
