Altezza della pianta: 15-30cm

Genus of more than 200 species of deciduous or evergreen shrubs and small trees from Africa and America. Annona is a fruit plant native to the Peruvian Andes. In South America it is cultivated in subtropical regions. From its areas of origin it has spread to various parts of the world. Small tree up to 4-5 meters tall with expanded and untidy foliage. The leaves are alternate, light green in color with a pointed margin. The flowers are not very evident, but pleasantly scented. When ripe, the fruit reaches 10-15 cm with reddish-grey scales on the peel. The pulp is fragrant, creamy, white-ivory in colour, with a very pleasant flavour.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to all types of soil, even clayey and calcareous as long as it is well drained. It likes exposure in full sun or partial shade. Non-rustic plant, it can be damaged if temperatures drop below 0°C. Cultivation in citrus climate is possible.
