Plant Description
Medium-sized deciduous tree up to 12-15 meters tall characterized by wide foliage and compound, imparpinnate, medium leathery leaves. The inflorescences are made up of small, intensely scented cream-white flowers. Flowering begins around the end of July and continues until mid-September, in a period in which the blooms of other honey plants are rather scarce. This detail makes Evodia hupehensis particularly frequented by bees.
Pedoclimatic needs
It adapts to any type of soil as long as it is well drained and not compact. It likes exposure in full sun or partial shade. Being equipped with roots that develop deeply, adult plants tolerate drought well. It is also rustic, withstanding minimum temperatures reaching -10°/-15°c.
