Altezza della pianta: 20-60 30-40 cm
Shrub or small evergreen tree up to 4-5 meters tall characterized by beautiful and lively spring flowering. The foliage is rounded in shape, the bark is smooth and light grey, while the leaves are elliptical, leathery, shiny, light green in colour, silvery on the underside. The flowers, which appear in late spring, are very numerous, with pinkish-white petals and rather showy coral red stamens. The fruit is an edible oval berry, with green skin and whitish gelatinous pulp with a vague strawberry and lemon flavour. The flowers are edible and excellent to eat fresh in salads, or as a garnish for desserts.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to all types of soil, preferring fresh ones, with a good content of organic substance and well drained. Regular watering is required, especially during flowering, but be careful to avoid water stagnation. To be grown in full sun or partial shade. Rustic plant, it tolerates minimum temperatures reaching -7°/-9°C.
