Shrub or small evergreen tree up to 4-6 m tall. Entire opposite leaves pubescent on the underside. Small white flowers, borne on one-year branches, solitary or gathered in small groups. Fruits of variable shape (spherical, elliptical, pear-shaped) are very fragrant, white on the outside with pink or red pulp, sweet and sour or acidic, with numerous small, white seeds. This cultivar has pear-shaped fruit with green skin and pink pulp.

Pedoclimatic needs

It prefers light soils, although it can also live on heavy ones, as long as there is no stagnation. The pH must be neutral (with alkaline pH it manifests ferric chlorosis). Guava is widely cultivated in tropical countries, both domestically and industrially. Non-rustic plant, it resists temperatures up to +2°/+4°c. In the Mediterranean basin, although there are favorable conditions for cultivation (citrus climate), it is only present sporadically.
