Altezza della pianta: 20-50cm

Genus of 7 species of evergreen shrubs, occasionally trees, with an erect to spreading habit, thorny, which grow in thickets and at the edges of woods from Europe to south-western Asia, the Himalayas, China and Taiwan. Pyracantha nana cv "navajo" is an evergreen shrub with a compact habit, up to 1/1.5 m tall. It has entire dark green leaves and is characterized by the presence of numerous small white flowers gathered in umbel inflorescences. The fruits are also abundant, appearing in orange clusters in autumn.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to all types of soil, as long as it is not stagnant. It prefers sunny exposure. Rustic species, it resists temperatures reaching -8°/-10°C. Due to the beauty of its flowering and numerous fruits in autumn, it is widely used for both free and topiary borders. In free form it requires more space but best expresses the fruiting which is the most attractive character. Also excellent for creating splashes of color together with other bushes.
