Altezza della pianta: 10-15cm

Genus of about 30 species of evergreen or deciduous trees, some with bottle-shaped trunks, native to the humid or arid tropical forest of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Deciduous tree that can reach a height of 20 meters. It is characterized by an erect stem, large and untidy foliage, and bright green lobed glabrous leaves. In late spring the plant produces a very pleasant coral red flowering. The fruits are capsules up to 10 cm long, dehiscent when ripe.

Pedoclimatic needs

It adapts to any type of soil, preferring loose, well-drained soil with a good organic substance content. It prefers a sunny or partial shade exposure. The adult specimens are moderately resistant to the cold, withstanding temperatures reaching -3°/-5°c, while the young plants must be sheltered in winter.
